The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) Scholarships for the class of 2023-2024 started accepting online applications for BS, MS, and doctoral degree programs. The good news is Caltech Does Not Accept IELTS Scores!

Caltech Admissions Without IELTS:

Caltech only accepts Duolingo, TOEFL, or English Proficiency Certificates rather than the IELTS exam. So you can apply for admission and scholarship at Caltech without the IELTS exam.

#1 Federal Pell Grant

As can be figured out by the title of the program, it is a government-funded initiative. This Caltech scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial needs to undergraduate students. To be eligible the students must demonstrate financial need, have not completed a baccalaureate degree, and are eligible for federal financial aid programs. 

The program is valued at up to $5,730 with the amount varying for different students. The final value of the scholarship is decided on the basis of the student’s financial income and enrollment status. The scholarship does not require a separate application and the students who’ve filled out the FAFSA form are automatically considered for the program. The program lasts a maximum of 6 years.

#2 Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

This is also a federal government-funded initiative for undergraduate students in Caltech. This being a need-based program is awarded to students who demonstrate financial needs. The academic performances of the students are not in consideration during the decision-making process. 

Similar to the Federal Pell Grant students who’ve filled out the FAFSA form are automatically considered for this program. To be eligible you must express and prove financial need, must have not completed your baccalaureate degree, and must be eligible for federal financial aid programs. It is valued at up to $4,000.

#3 Caltech-Fulbright Scholarships

Under this Fulbright scholarship in Caltech, students of other countries are welcomed to the US for Ph.D. and Master’s studies in various fields. The application is to be submitted through the Fulbright Commission or U.S Embassy. Under this program, the students are overseen during their stay in the US. The program details vary from country to country.

Caltech University has two admission tiers. The Early Action Caltech Admissions applications will be closing on 1st November 2023. However, the applications for Regular Action Admission applications for 2023 will be closing on January 2023. Late applications are only entertained in the case of available seats.
