Can You Apply for DAAD Scholarship?

The German DAAD Scholarships are provided to that student who wants to complete their study program with good attendance in Germany.   • The applicant should need to have two years of work experience with proof, research work, and teaching or graduate assistant work.

IELTS Certificate (band 6) or TOFEL (with a minimum score of 550 based on paper, 213 based on Computer, and 80 based on the Internet). Proficiency in the English Language is also required.

  1. German Language Requirement (for courses taught in German)

Applicants must have a DSH 2 or Testdaf 4 Certificate for matriculation. A level B1 certificate is also necessary during the time of application.

  1. Academic Grades

The applicant must require a minimum aggregate of 8.5 CGPA or 85% of its equivalent. Academic Grade also depends upon the required degree.

How to apply for the DAAD Scholarship?

There are two ways to apply for the DAAD Scholarship.

  1. Online application
  2. Hardcopy application

The applying method depends upon the University’s requirement. Mostly universities demand online application with scanning documents and some universities demand hardcopy application with all hardcopy documents that are required. There are the following steps to apply for the DAAD Scholarship.

  • First of all, you have to visit the website of the German university in which you want to study on the DAAD scholarship.
  • Now go to the online admission application page of that German University.
  • Fill out the admission form with your personal & academic information.
  • Write any three desired courses of the your choice.
  • The sequence of courses should be desired based.
  • Now send the admission application to the German university.
  • The university has a selection committee that suggests application for the DAAD.
  • Now the DAAD Scholarship Committee will examine the application and will contact the applicant by email and also demands an account at the DAAD portal.
  • The link will be provided by email from the DAAD to create an account.
  • Now, the applicant has to create an account at the DAAD portal.
  • Now you have to fill online application form with the required information.
  • The other way is to download the application form from the website of the DAAD Scholarship and fill it with the required information.
  • Now you have to write about the university in which you want to study with the desired program in the application form.
  • Ensure that your data on the application form should be correct. No mistake will be accepted.
  • Now make a pdf of a Cover letter, a motivational letter, a research proposal, a recommendation letter, a professional letter, a language certificate, and the academic certificates.
  • Attach the pdf with online application form.
  • After completing the application form, you have to send it to the DAAD before the deadline time.
  • After processing the application form, the DAAD will send you email of approval.

DAAD Germany Scholarship Application Deadline: September 15, 2023

The deadline for each semester of the DAAD German Scholarship is different. If you want to avail the chance of the DAAD Scholarship, you have to submit your application on time.
