As a re-assembler, you will be required to retrieve the digital files and verify them by comparing them against the source documents. The salary offered for this job is R 5,000 per month.

3# Receiving Clerk (50 posts)

In order to be eligible to apply for this job, you are required to have a diploma in document and records management or information technology. As a receiving clerk, your job will be to receive boxes of files and verify them. The salary offered for this job is R 5,000 per month.

4# Drivers (8 posts)

To be eligible to apply for this job, you are required to have a diploma in document and records management or information technology. Along with this, you are also required to have a valid driver’s license. The job of a driver is to simply deliver boxes back and forth between the bureaus (digitization offices) and the source of the original files. The salary offered for this job is R 5,000 per month.

5# Indexer (800 posts)

In order to be eligible to apply for the post of indexer, you are required to have a bachelor’s degree in any of the following: information technology, library science, or computer science. Your job will be to index all of the files, reassemble them and sort them accordingly into batches in boxes. The salary offered for this job is R 5,00 per month.

6# Scanner (400 posts)

The position of a scanner requires the applicant to have a high school diploma in either information technology, computer science, or library science. As a scanner, you will be required to scan various files using a high-volume scanner and ensure that clean images are produced as a result. The salary offered for this job is R 5,000 per month.

7# Quality Controller (100 posts)

In order to be eligible to apply for this job post, you are required to have a bachelor’s degree in any of the following: information technology, library science, or computer science. Your job requires you to ensure that the quality of the original files and digitized files are maintained throughout the process. This job offers a salary of R 6,000 per month.

8# Team Leaders (104 posts)

In order to be eligible to apply for this job, you are required to have a bachelor’s degree in document and records management or computer science or information technology. As a team leader, you must allocate work responsibilities to your colleagues, supervise their work and produce daily and weekly reports of their performance for the PMO. This job offers a salary of R 6,500 per month.

9# Technical Support (12 posts)

In order to be eligible to apply for the job post of technical support, you are required to have an honors degree in either computer science or information technology. You will be responsible for maintaining all of the IT infrastructures. The salary offered for this job is R 9,500 per month.

10# Manager (6 posts)

In order to be eligible to apply for this job, you must have a master’s degree in either document and records management or library science or computer science or information technology. This is the highest paying job and carries the most responsibility and you will be required to lead and manage an entire team. The salary offered for this job is R14,250 per month.

Who can apply for the Home Affairs Department jobs?

This initiative has been started by the Department of Home Affairs in the Republic of South Africa. It is mostly directed toward the youth of South Africa which includes people between the ages of 18 to 35. However, to be eligible to apply for all of the jobs, you must have certain required qualifications from either technical vocational education and training (TVET) colleges, universities, or the University of Technology.

The department of employment and labor offers over a thousand job opportunities to carry out this project. All of the jobs offers come with a fixed contract, starting on 1st November 2022, and ending on 31st October 2025.
