The fully-funded Scholarships at Université de Genève Scholarships for the class of 2023-2024 are now open for online admission applications for all international students.

Language Requirements at the University de Geneve:

The language of instruction at the University is French mainly and hence the university requires a cleared French exam at the B-2 level from its international applicants that has a separate registration fee of CHF 100.  Candidates applying for the autumn semester will sit for the exam at the start of September (05-09-2023) whereas latecomers will have their exam on (29-09-2023).

The dates for the spring semester are not announced but the exam will take place at the beginning of February tentatively. Special cases of applicants who are exempted from taking the test are specified on their official website.

Results will be announced a few days after the test is taken and successful completion is valid for four years whereas cases of failures are dealt with retaking the exam. Sample papers, duration, and all other details regarding the exam are also available on the website.

The tuition fee for UNIGE is CHF 500 per semester (CHF 65 in fixed fees and CHF 435 in administrative fees), payable in a single installment for all degrees, converting to around USD $500.

Any reductions you are entitled e.g., leave of absence, internship, doctoral studies will be automatically applied to the amount due. Requests for fee relief due to financial difficulties must be submitted to their social services department.

#2 ACI Foundation Richard D. Stehly Memorial Scholarships

This is an exclusive partially funded bachelor; Engineering scholarship open to all nationals and all universities across the world and hence is a good opportunity for anyone looking to study abroad. The deadline usually varies and needs to be checked in accordance with the applicant’s deadlines.

#3 Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars and Artists

This is a Swiss Government-funded scholarship as well applicable to master’s and Ph.D. students and is open to all nationals and only in Universities of Switzerland.

#4 UICC Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial International Cancer Study Grants

This scholarship mainly focuses on cancer studies and incorporates partial funding at the Ph.D. level. The plus point of this scholarship lies in the fact that it is open to all nationals and is applicable to all universities in Switzerland.

Many other scholarships would also be available that apply to this specific university. Moreover, the stipends at UNIGE are granted on the condition that the student studies for one or two entire semesters, including exams.
