Types of Undergraduate Programs

At Ton Duc Thang University, international students can choose from three types of undergraduate programs:

Study Duration

The standard duration for most undergraduate programs at TDTU is four years, while the Pharmacy program requires five years. Additionally, applicants who enroll in Vietnamese-taught programs without prior proficiency will need to complete a one-year Vietnamese language study to meet the required B2 proficiency level.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for admission and scholarships at TDTU, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Academic Requirements for Application: A minimum average GPA of 5.0/10.0 in high school studies or graduation exams.

Academic Requirements for Scholarships: A minimum average GPA of 6.5/10.0 in high school studies or graduation exams.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

  • For Vietnamese-taught programs, students must have a B2 level in the Vietnamese language or complete a one-year language course at TDTU and pass the proficiency test.
  • For English-taught programs, students must either be native English speakers or provide proof of IELTS 5.5 (or an equivalent certificate).

Additional Requirements for Specific Majors:

  • Pharmacy Major: Applicants must have a GPA of “Good” or above in their final year of high school, with a minimum Chemistry score of 7.0/10.0.
  • Design Majors: Applicants in Architecture, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Industrial Design must take an aptitude test organized by TDTU before starting their bachelor’s programs.
