University of Évora Opens Architecture Fully-funded Scholarships 2027 Entry

If you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and want research experience in Europe before moving into a Master’s, PhD or professional research career, I would take a close look at this University of Évora opportunity.

The university is offering two research grants under the FEEnERT project, focused on improving the energy efficiency of traditional public buildings in a cross-border context. Each selected applicant will receive €1,090.98 per month for up to four months, with the work carried out at the University of Évora in Portugal.

• develop project materials for structures built during the workshop

Is Research Experience Mandatory?

The call does not set a separate minimum number of years of professional or research experience.

My advice would be to highlight anything connected with architecture workshops, sustainable construction, earth architecture, building-energy efficiency, technical drawing, photography, video documentation, publications or project coordination.

Because there is no interview weighting listed, the evaluators may have to make their decision almost entirely from what you put on paper.

Do You Need IELTS or Portuguese?

The call itself does not state an IELTS, TOEFL, Portuguese-language certificate or minimum language score.

I would therefore not add a language-test requirement that the scholarship does not publish.
