Bevica Scholarship 2027–2028 Registration Opens at IT University of Copenhagen
Students and educators interested in designing a more inclusive world can attend the Bevica Scholarship Programme 2027–2028 information meeting at the IT University of Copenhagen on September 1, 2026.
The free session runs from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Rued Langgaards Vej 7, 2300 Copenhagen. No registration is required: attendees can simply arrive and join. A former scholarship participant will discuss their experience, while the Universal Design Hub will explain the programme, selection process and project expectations. Time is also reserved for audience questions.
Why Is This More Than an Ordinary Scholarship Briefing?
The Bevica programme invites students and lecturers from every academic discipline—not only architecture or disability studies—to investigate how universal design could improve products, technology, education, services and everyday environments.
Student participants can compete for separate DKK 200,000 bachelor’s and master’s main prizes, while selected applicants may receive DKK 30,000 travel grants. Two lecturers can receive DKK 130,000 fellowships, with additional DKK 30,000 travel grants available. Applications will be accepted from September 1 to December 1, 2026.
Questions International Students Might Ask at This Seminar
Can anyone from around the world attend the seminar?
Yes. The Copenhagen meeting is advertised as open to everyone, including students and lecturers interested in understanding the opportunity. No advance booking is required.
Can a student enrolled outside Denmark apply for the scholarship?
Not under the published 2027–2028 eligibility rules. Students must be enrolled at a Danish university, university college, architecture school or design school and must have completed at least three semesters by February 2027. International students studying at an eligible Danish institution may participate.
Does attending improve my chance of admission to IT University of Copenhagen?
No. The scholarship programme and ITU admissions are separate processes. The seminar is hosted at ITU but does not provide university admission.
What are ITU’s international application deadlines?
International applicants normally apply by March 15 at noon CET for bachelor’s programmes and March 1 at 11:59 p.m. CET for master’s programmes.
Is IELTS compulsory for an ITU master’s degree?
Not for every applicant, but acceptable English documentation is mandatory. ITU currently accepts IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 88, or passed Cambridge CAE/CPE, subject to its documentation rules.
